The club is dedicated to serving the East Cleveland area by providing community-focused basketball sessions and competitive opportunities for players ranging from 12 to 46 years old!
At the end of September, the club participated in the annual grant recipients’ event at Sunnyfield House. Attendees included Councillor Neil Bendelow, the Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland Council, along with council leaders from other East Cleveland parishes.
The evening was chaired by Councillor Andrew Hixon, Mayor of Guisborough Town Council, a strong supporter of the club and its growth in the community.
Guests enjoyed a light meal and wine, accompanied by performances from local artist Beth Miller. After the meal, Councillor Hixon presented ourselves and several volunteer groups with grants from the town council.
The club received £264 from the Town Council to purchase game balls, supporting both our Junior and Senior teams in their competitive pursuits for the 2024/25 season.
Other recipients included the Friends of Chaloner Market, Friends of Guisborough Cemetery, Gisborough Priory Project, Guisborough and East Cleveland Sea Cadets, Guisborough Mini Rugby FC, Guisborough in Bloom, Guisborough Museum, Guisborough Royal British Legion, and Guisborough Salvation Army Citadel.
These remarkable groups are all doing fantastic work within our community!
